REX POKER

REX STUDIO – REX POKER – Texas Hold'em played in the world (VORP / RSG / Standalone)

Pull up a chair, partner. Walk up to the saloon table, sit down on the map's own chair with the native animation and play real Texas Hold'em with 3D cards and chips on the felt. Hold H and your character picks up his two cards, looks at them and puts them back. No full-screen menu: the game happens at the table.

Your screen, your way. Three UI modes plus a top-down view of the felt, and you play with the keyboard (native prompts) or with the mouse. Nobody to play with? Add NPC players, even in the middle of a game.

A complete Texas Hold'em card room for RedM saloons: Valentine, Blackwater, Saint Denis, Rhodes and as many tables as you want. The server deals every card and moves every dollar, hole cards never reach the other players, and every rule is yours to set: No-Limit, Pot-Limit or Limit, blinds, ante, side pots. One resource, works with VORP, RSG or standalone without any framework (detected automatically). No database, no item.

Three UI modes plus a top-down view

Press U to switch. Each player's choice is remembered.

  • Minimal (default): a compact player list (stack, D / SB / BB, last action, "thinking…" bar), the board and pot, your hand, bet and timer. The 3D table stays in view
  • Full: the complete western overlay with the table plaque, players, pot and board, bet slider, pot presets, hand history and table chat
  • Hidden: practically nothing. You play straight from the felt and the native prompts
  • Plus Mouse mode on C: the cursor appears on the full overlay. C, Esc or a right click gives the camera back
  • Camera views on V: your seat, close on your cards, top-down on the felt (the board big in the middle), the whole table, or the free game camera. Move the mouse to look around: orbit the table views, turn and tilt the top-down view. Mouse wheel zoom

Keyboard only, or mouse only

  • Keyboard: every action is a native RedM prompt. F fold, G check / call, E bet / raise to the amount shown, hold Space all-in, arrows for the amount and the pot presets (min, ½ pot, ¾ pot, pot, all-in). You never need the mouse
  • Mouse: click the chips, the slider, the presets and the action buttons, add or remove NPCs, sit out or leave. You never need a key once seated
  • Mix both freely. The Camera, Mouse and UI keys are always pinned in the prompt list

Fully synced multiplayer

  • Everything is synced between players: every seated player, spectator and passer-by sees the same cards, chips, bets, gestures and winner at the same moment
  • Up to 6 players per table by default (configurable from 2 to 10 seats), real players and NPCs mixed
  • Unlimited tables running at once, spectators on the rail (admins from anywhere) and a table chat

NPC players, added or removed at any time

  • Up to 5 NPCs per table, added or removed at any moment, even mid-game: + NPC / − NPC on the overlay, /pokerbots, or automatically
  • They sit on the chairs like players, think, bet, bluff and react with the real RDR3 poker clips
  • Server-side decisions: hand strength (Monte-Carlo), pot odds, a personality (tight, loose, aggressive, bluffer) and a difficulty (easy, normal, hard)
  • Practice mode (default): free chips, nothing won or lost, perfect to learn or to film alone. House mode: NPCs play real money lent by the house, with a loss cap

Features

A real table in the world

  • Look at your cards [H]: your character reaches for his two cards, lifts them fanned in his hand, holds them as long as you hold H and puts them back on the felt. Only you see the faces, the others only see the gesture (male and female animations)
  • Chip animations: neat chip stacks beside every player, sized by his stack, bets slid in front of him and gathered to the centre at the end of each street
  • Winner camera: at the end of a hand a camera faces the winner while he scoops the pot with both hands; the chips travel with his hands and land beside his stack (skippable)
  • 3D cards dealt to every seat, flop, turn and river laid on the felt, using the town's own deck
  • Native seating on the map's own chairs: you walk to the saloon chair (no teleport) and sit through its own scenario point, with the sit-down and stand-up animations
  • Upper-body poker gestures for players and NPCs: check, bet, raise, all-in, fold, win, loss, buy-in. Native poker sounds, blips and prompts
  • Optional NPC dealer who shuffles every hand

Multiple tables, map saloons included

  • Ready out of the box: Smithfield's Saloon (Valentine), Blackwater Saloon, Le Bastille (Saint Denis) and the Rhodes Parlour House, on the map's own tables
  • Spawned tables anywhere you like (examples included: Van Horn with a dealer, and a high-stakes gold-bar room for jobs only)
  • Each table has its own structure, blinds, ante, buy-in min / max, currency (dollars or gold bars), deck, allowed jobs and blip

The game

  • No-Limit, Pot-Limit or Fixed-Limit per table, small / big blind, optional ante, moving button, heads-up rules
  • Check, call, bet, raise, fold, all-in. Min-raise = last full raise, an incomplete all-in does not re-open the betting (TDA rule)
  • Side pots for any number of all-ins, split pots, odd chip rule, uncalled bets returned
  • Hand evaluator with kickers, cross-checked against an independent evaluator on 30,000 hands. Crypto-secure shuffle
  • Per-player timer (auto check, else fold), sit-out after time-outs and automatic stand-up, buy-in and add-on between hands
  • Optional rake (percentage, cap, no flop no drop) with a hook to pay a society or a job

Security

  • Server-authoritative: the client only asks. The server checks the character, table, seat, reservation token, distance, turn, legal action, amount, limits, wallet and rate before anything happens. Forged events are refused and logged to Discord
  • Hole cards are never sent to the other clients: each player receives his own private view, so they cannot be read even with a modded client
  • Crash-proof ledger (no database): disconnect, resource restart or server crash, the chips are given back on the next login. A disconnected all-in player keeps his chance and is paid later. An admin close voids the hand and refunds everyone
  • The Discord webhook lives in a server-only file, never sent to the players
  • 660+ automated checks run before every release

Everything is configurable

  • Tables: position, map or spawned table, seats, structure, blinds, ante, buy-ins, currency, deck, allowed jobs, dealer, blip
  • NPCs: max per table, difficulty, personalities, practice or house mode, who may add them
  • Timers and animation pace, camera views, winner camera, hand view, every key, distances, props, chip staging, seating
  • UI: default mode, scale, prompts, history, table chat, sounds
  • Locales: English and French included, add your own file in locales/. Notifications: framework, ox_lib or chat
  • Discord logs (buy-ins, cash-outs, big pots, rake, admin, exploits, refunds), server and client exports & events

Framework compatibility

  • VORP: vorp_core (money and gold)
  • RSG: rsg-core (cash and gold)
  • Standalone (no framework, no database): each player's pocket is kept by the resource (server KVP, by Rockstar license), admins by ACE, /pokergive and /pokerwallet

Detection is automatic (VORP, then RSG, else standalone), or can be forced in the config. Requirements: OneSync. Optional: ox_lib.

Installation

  • Drop rex_poker in your resources and add ensure rex_poker after your framework
  • Admins: add_ace group.admin rex_poker.admin allow (or use your framework groups)
  • Set your tables, blinds and rules in config.lua. For Discord logs, put your webhook URL in server_config.lua (server only). Restart. No SQL, no item

Escrow

The resource uses the Cfx.re Asset Escrow. config.lua, server_config.lua and the locales are open and editable; everything else is escrowed and the game logic runs on the server.

Support

Support on our Discord: installation help, configuration questions and bug reports. Updates are delivered through your Cfx.re Keymaster.
