REX STUDIO – REX ARMWRESTLING – Real arm wrestling duels for RedM (VORP / RSG / Standalone)
Real in-world duels. Two players sit face to face at a table, right hands locked together, and the arms move with the fight. Challenge a player, put money on it or wrestle for honour, and win a tug of war of strength and stamina. Works with VORP, RSG or standalone (no framework), detected automatically. The server runs the duel. Escrow protected, custom arm wrestling table included.
Features
Duels
- Challenge a player near the table with native prompts, choose the stake (if bets are on), hold G. The opponent gets an invite with a countdown: hold G to accept, R to decline
- Both players are seated face to face at the included arm wrestling table, in a synced pose, hands locked on one grip point that follows the duel
- 3-second countdown, then a tug of war: alternate A / D to push, Space for a surge
- Stamina: pressing faster than you can sustain drains it and a tired arm loses force. Pacing beats mashing
- Small comeback bonus near a pin, time limit with a draw band, hold R to give up
- Three camera views (side, over the shoulder, top), light hand shake near a pin
Bets (optional, VORP / RSG)
- Can be switched off in the config (duels for honour only); always off in standalone
- Stake on any duel, presets and min / max limits
- Money taken from both players when the challenge is accepted and held by the server
- Winner takes the pot minus a configurable house cut (0–50 %). RSG: optional society credited with the cut (rsg-bossmenu)
- Crash-safe escrow ledger in the database: disconnects, restarts and offline winners are paid or refunded on the next character load, never twice
NPC practice
- A local sits down in front of you: easy, normal or hard
- Optional stake against the house when bets are on (stake × 1.8 on a win)
- NPC record stored separately, never ranked
Tables
- 4 default tables: Valentine, Saint Denis, Blackwater and Rhodes saloons, with optional blips
- Admin tables placed with a ghost preview, saved in the database (or the resource KVP in standalone without oxmysql)
- Optional folding table item: players set up their own table + chairs anywhere outside no-place zones, and pack it up again (standalone: optional
/awtable command instead of the item)
Spectators
- Players nearby see the arms move and, optionally, the power bar and the result
Leaderboard
- Wins, losses, draws, win rate, best run, fastest pin and earnings (when bets are on) per character, plus your own record
- H at a table or
/awtop
Security
- Server-side simulation at 10 ticks / s; clients only send press batches
- Press rate caps, batch flood detection, strikes then forfeit (Discord log)
- Seat distance checked every tick, table distance and rate limit on every event
- One-time placement tokens, atomic pick-up (no item duplication)
Admin
/awplace [label], /awremove [id], /awtables, /awcancel [tableId] (stakes refunded), /awdebug (seat / grip markers)- Access by ACE permission and/or framework groups (ACE only in standalone)
Other
- Native RedM prompts only, sober parchment and wood NUI
- English and French locales
- Exports (
IsInDuel, GetDuel, GetTables, GetStats, CancelDuel, client IsWrestling) and a duelEnded server event - Optional Discord webhook logs
- Database tables created automatically (SQL file included)
Assets
RDR3 has no arm wrestling animation and no arm wrestling table. The resource ships its own arm wrestling table (original model and textures: oak top, leather elbow pads, iron grips for the free hand, 3 LODs, collision), with a vanilla saloon table as fallback. Seating uses the game's own "seated at a table, right forearm forward" scenario, and arm IK locks the two hands together. A custom animation set can be plugged in from the config (spec in the README).
Framework compatibility
- VORP:
vorp_core, vorp_inventory, oxmysql - RSG:
rsg-core, rsg-inventory, oxmysql - Standalone (no framework): players identified by their Rockstar license, admin by ACE, duels for honour (no money, no inventory), native RedM notifications. oxmysql optional: without it, stats and tables are saved in the resource KVP
Detection is automatic (VORP, then RSG, else standalone), or can be forced in the config. All framework calls are in an open bridge file, so you can adapt it if needed.
Escrow
The resource uses the Cfx.re Asset Escrow. config.lua, the locales, the client/server bridge, the install files, the SQL and the README are open and editable. The core logic is escrowed.
